Velo binding (sometimes called strip binding) is a binding method that seals two pieces of rigid plastic (called a velo strip) together. Hot knife velobinding is the most secure binding method and can only be opened using a special debinder tool, making it ideal for tamper-proof binding in the ledal industry. Heat melts the two plastic pieces together forming a semi-permanent bond. Hot knife velo strips feature 10 prongs.
